I caught the scene in Wu Town north of Shanghai. Realized that across all the kids we saw, there was very little noise and almost no interaction. The scientist may very well call gaming a social endeavor and more interactive than a book. But I still miss the thrilling screams and a ball flying through the air; even at the risk of bruised knees and a shattered window.

Which prompts me to ask for two minutes and ten seconds more. Either through the video shown here on YouTube or the full article in the New York Times.

Click and have a look. And then, please, close the laptop and go talk and touch someone for real. In the same time and space.
